Soccershowdown also known as ‘SSD’ is born in Rotterdam in the year 2004, after Kenan “Rathinho” and Soufiane “2Zani” Touzani made freestyle street soccer movies en put them on the Internet like Youtube. With this talent they were noticed by various companies requesting to perform with a demo or give workshops.
Here it was decided to form SSD-Events which will later become the leading football entertainment company not only on national but also international level. Next to entertainment the company also holds world famous artists who were also part of the development of the game FIFASTREET 1 & 2.
These players in general are the founders and legends of the FREESTYLE FOOTBALL which is now done by millions of young people all over the world.

2004
• In February Soufiane Touzani & Kenan Rathinho put their First Freestyle clips on the Internet en within no time a new sport was formed: Freestyle
• The popularity of the video clips on the was of great notice and therefore a new street football entertainment website is started. Until today it it received thousands of hits per week. The website is called: SOCCERSHOWDOWN.COM
• In June Touzani & Rathinho were invited by Electronic Arts to do the Motion Capturing for the video game FIFA STREET which was recorded in Vancouver, Canada.
• Electronic Arts gave the whole PR promotion of FIFASTREET within the Benelux area to SSD-Events.
• In August the beer brand Jupiler, sponsor of the highest league in Belgium, asked SSD to do many performances on the field in the break of all the matches. These matches were played throughout Belgium in different stadiums.
• Show during the “Johan Cruijffschaal” in The Netherlands on the field of the Amsterdam Arena just before the start of the match.
2005
• In Ireland several workshops and shows were given for Pharmaceutical company called McArdle’s Pharmacy
• From Japan a film crew came over to The Netherlands to make a complete photo and video footage of Soufiane Touzani and Kenan Rathinho for a Japanese magazine.
• Launch of a project called “Superkicks”. This project was throughout the whole of Netherlands and SSD-Events has given more then 800 clinics just for this project.
• Commercial is recorded for the brand “Canon” with the topic the African Nations Cup.
• Co-operation with a partner in Germany called “Fussballmarkt” has achieved various PR activities before the beginning of the World Cup. This was for the brand “Adidas”.
• Promotional Activity for Deutsche Telecom in Germany.
• Presentation of the event called “Gouden Schoen” for the best player in Belgium.
• Several shows are given on the field or in front of the stadium for the Dutch Federation of Football (KNVB) during breaks of international matches of the Dutch National Team.
• Complete Entertainment Show for 80.000 spectators in Stade de France during “French Cup Final” in Paris.
• On the roof of Sheraton Hotel in Brussels was the kick-off of the video game FIFASTREET.
• The first videoclip of Soufiane Touzani reached on Youtube the status of most seen sports video ever more then 5 million hits!!!.
2006
• Both players (Touzani en Rathinho) became a character in the video game Fifastreet 2.
• Show in stadium “De Kuip” of the team Feyenoord during their “Open Dag”
• SSD Players became ambassadors for the Nike “Joga Bonito” campaign in Germany.
• Show was given on the gala party of Canon for the Africa Nations Cup in Cairo, Egypt.
• SSD-Events went to India to make a commercial for Samsung and attend an exhibition for mobile telephony also for the brand Samsung.
• Commercial for Nike “Joga Bonito” was shown in several cinemas all over Germany.
• Start of a new project Super Fit program on different high schools where SSD-Events does the Futsal/Freestyle clinics. This was ordered by the city of Rotterdam.
• Soufiane Touzani won the award for “Best Street soccer player in Holland”.
2007
• Filmed a few tricks for the Music video ‘Non-stop’ of famous artist Brainpower and the Partysquad.
• MONTA has contacted SSD-Events for a promotion contract for the SSD players Touzani, Rathinho & Stefan. They are then officially part of the team of Edgar Davids for promotional activities on national and international level.
• Touzani became 1 of the 3 guys in the Jury for the community-site Trickmasters side by side with Edgar Davids and Jermaine Vanenburg.
• SSD has introduced a new dimension to the Panna cage calling it the 3D-Challenge.
• Several performances for opening Johan Cruijff Courts throughout The Netherlands.
• SSD players team has grown to over 10 players including a female players.
• SSD has performed in the pre-show of rapper Akon in Heineken Music Hall.
• Soufiane Touzani went to New York, USA performing on various location for a pilot recording the sports channel ESPN.
• SSD did an exclusive show for Royal Princess Maxima, which was done for the Music Matters project.
• SSD Events shows on weekly basis the trick of the week on TV Rijnmond. The show is called SOCCERSHOWTIME!!.
